Each of you must finish at least one story today. You do not need to do an Ultra Mega Theme Statement unless you want to try it. When you finish please go to the following website to do some test prep work.

My Rotten Redheaded Older Brother
- Let's record our thinking on a new page under our seminar tab in One Note under fiction. Go ahead and open one up and name it "My Rotten Redheaded Older Brother." Make sure to save it in your desktop folder. You should record your beginning (the normal), middle (problems and turning point) first.
Directions: Beginning- While you read the beginning of the story pay attention to the normal. What can you say about the way things are? Who are the characters? How do they feel? Where does the story take place? Does the time the story is set in make a difference? Use your word document to write down your thoughts and be ready to share with the group your findings.
Middle- We will encounter a conflict or a problem. There can be more than one problem but always keep an eye on the main problem. While reading all of the problems pay attention for the turning point. It is ONE event that stops the problems.
End- We will find out the resolution (when the problem is solved.) Sometimes the ending might not be what you expected, you might be happy or you might be surprised or you might be disappointed.
